The Changi Airport Skytrain started its operations in 1990.The Skytrain is meant to ferry passengers between terminals, especially air travellers and tourists. The rolling stock initially consisted of Bombardier CX-100s but due to the opening of Terminal 3(T3)in 2008,the Skytrain system was revamped.Work began on a new S$135 million Mitsubishi Crystal Mover in 2002.The Mitsubishi Crystal Mover has similar features like the Bombardier CX-100 except that it has a larger passenger capacity and looks more modern. The track between Terminal 1 and 2 opened in March 2006 while the remaining track to Terminal 3 opened in November 2007 during T3's open house.
