The MRT Lines in Singapore(except North East Line)run by third rail which is 750 volts.You can get electrocuted if you make contact with the wires that do not have insulation.The North East Line runs by overhead catenary which is 1500V.The NEL's tracks have exposed wires which can kill you.The Punggol and Sengkang LRT Lines have a third rail at also 750V.So my advice to you is do not go down to the tracks to pick your valuables(e.g handphone).Inform the station staff if you need any help.Sunday, July 5, 2009
